The AiF project CoatNanoCell aims to establish 100% recyclable paper composite packaging in the sense of a circular and sustainable economy. The industry is thus offered a sustainable approach for the substitution of flexible plastic packaging with paper composites. To this end, the project is developing holistic packaging concepts for paper composites with nanocellulose coatings.
The overarching aim of the project is to develop sustainable paper-based packaging. The project is highly relevant for the packaging industry and the retail trade, the paper industry and paper recycling, including the waste paper trade, as well as for the supplier industry (coating formulations, additives).
