Industry Association for Food Technology and Packaging e.V.

The dynamics of the markets coupled with increasing competition place high demands on companies in the food, consumer goods and packaging industries. Increasingly complex issues under difficult conditions require flexible use of the available resources – inside and outside the company.

In particular for interdisciplinary questions at the interfaces of the value chain, it is important to bundle the competencies of the companies involved and the associated research institutions.

The research expenditures are often too large-scaled for a single company, which can prevent innovation issues from being taken up.

Dr. Uwe Bretschneider, Chairman of the Board IVLV e.V.

At this point the Industry Association for Food Technology and Packaging e. V. steps in by initiating and accompanying application-oriented and pre-competitive research projects – and has been doing so since 1964.

The IVLV conducts research across the entire value chain for safely packaged food of high and long-lasting quality.
In this way, the IVLV secures industry knowledge, educates and promotes junior staff and continuously creates new knowledge on questions from member companies.
